PC3001 Basic Vacuum System
The VACUUBRAND PC3001 Basic is an upgradeable chemistry-design vacuum system. It includes our MD1C vacuum pump, with a motor speed control knob to provide approximate vacuum levels. This provides some of the advantages of VARIO™ motor speed control, specifically the reduced noise, wear, and energy consumption at a reduced cost compared with a full VARIO version. The PC3001 Basic also has the advantage that it can be upgraded, either partially or fully to our popular PC3001 VARIO™ vacuum system. The PC3001 Basic: Features a MD1C vacuum pump with a 1.5Torr (2mbar) ultimate vacuum, and a maximum flow rate of 27lpm (0.88cfm), mounted on a space saving stand. A dial controls the speed of the pump motor to allow setting of approximate vacuum levels by matching pumping speed to vapor flow. An integrated gas ballast allows the continuous purging of condensate from the pump for superior performance. Supplemental Module I: The addition of this module to the PC3001 Basic adds a CVC3000 vacuum controller to provide all of the VARIO control functions. Specifically, with the addition of this module, the system will be able find and follow boiling point curves, have single-point hysteresis-free vacuum, have up to ten user programs, interface with a computer via a bi-directional RS232 serial port, plug-and-play installation of peripheral valves via VACUU•BUS, and more. All functions are controlled with a large graphic display and the use of a “turn-and-push” jogwheel. An inlet catchpot is also included to preserve the performance of the pump from vacuum line condensate.
Note: A PC3001 Basic can only be upgraded to full VARIO performance with the purchase of Supplemental Module I. A standard CVC3000 controller will not interface with the pump.
Supplemental Module II: The addition of this module to the PC3001 Basic adds an exhaust condenser and catchpot to allow the capture of solvent that passes through the pump. Condenser catchpot capacity is 500mL.

Supplemental Module I is supplied complete with special CVC3000 controller and inlet catchpot assembly and all parts required for installation to the PC3001 Basic. Supplemental Module II is supplied complete with exhaust condenser, catchpot, and all parts required for installation to the PC3001 Basic.
